Letter from the Chairman
On behalf of Portland Plaza Board of Directors, I wish to welcome you to the website. In addition to the election of three new directors in April, I became president of the board. As a board we have been busy with many ongoing matters and several unanticipated events. The current Board of Directors is putting together a business plan to keep Portland Plaza a pacesetter in high rise living. We meet the last Wendesday of each month in the Portland Plaza Terrace Room at 7pm. Our meetings are all open and I invite you to attend one. All nine of our committees' meetings are also open. One of our 2008 goals is to get greater participation by Plaza residents whether it's at meetings, social events, voting or providing feedback and ideas.
Another Board incentive is to create and implement a new resident orientation. We are particularly interested in knowing what important things we need to have on our orientation checklist. There are several way to make your recommendations - one is to Portland Plaza's own site manager, David Rice. Another is to me using email (wgrebe@schwabe.com) or mmy file folder 1702 in the mail room.
I hope living at Portland Plaza has been a positive experience!
